Automobile Accidents

With all the changes in healthcare, it has gotten very confusing on to simply get the care you need.

Just a few reminders after an auto accident.

1. Always have the police come to the site of the accident. Having a written report makes your case that much easier to file with your insurance company.

2. Use your cell phone to take pictures of the accident scene and of any damage to your car. You can even use your cell phone to record the other drivers information, instead of having to write it down.

2. ALWAYS get checked after an accident. With the new laws, you only have two weeks to get evaluated or you will have no coverage for any injuries. Remembering that many injuries don't show up until after two weeks, make an appointment and let us confirm that you have come in for care so that you will be covered if anything does show up. There are no exceptions to this rule.

3. In getting examined here, we can determine if you will need further evaluation and / or treatment from :

a. a Medical Doctor ( including an orthopedist or neurosurgeon )

b. Physical Therapist / Occupational Therapist

c. Chiropractor

d. MRI's and or x-rays

Always remember to take action after any accident to make sure all of your rights are protected.

Yours for better health,

Dr. Scott Barry
